Breeding Artificial Insemination Workshop

Participant farmers have requested training and education on how to breed cattle for many years. This two-day artificial insemination school offers a classroom portion on Friday 6/26 from 1-5PM and on-farm, live animal practice on Saturday 6/27. Select Sires Inc training specialists will provide all educational materials, reproductive tracts for practice and technical expertise for this workshop. Participating farms will receive a certification of completion after finishing the course. Since commercial breeding services are difficult to obtain in the region, farmers learning to breed their own cattle will help regional farm become more sustainable businesses and also to improve the genetic progress of their herds. Select Sires Inc charges $250 per person. We will offer participants who are in the WOH NYC Watershed a discount on their registration fees.
