The Watershed Agricultural Council (WAC) is seeking interested contractors to join us for an informational meeting on March, 20, 2018 to discuss the expansion of our Agricultural Program project implementation. Through our contract with the Department of Environmental Protection, we are extending Best Management Practice funding to over $4 million annually. This will help enhance the ongoing work on farms in the West of Hudson Watershed, and these funds will increase the annual projected workload that protects the New York City water supply.
We will be discussing upcoming projects including timber covered barnyards, manure storage systems, water systems and facilities, livestock crossings, exclusion fencing and calf housing.
