The Watershed Agricultural Council is proud to be a champion of clean water, protecting the environment and supporting an economically viable way of life. Our efforts have become an international model for watershed protection, as we are the largest unfiltered water supply providing 9 million New York residents clean drinking water. As we approach the end of 2015, we continue to reveal our Conservation Footprint. Showcased by:
- 25,000 acres Conservation Easements
- 159,000 acres Agricultural Whole Farm Plans
- 194,000 acres Forest Management Plans
- 300 Pure Catskills Farm and Forest Business members
As we look to 2016, we want to thank everyone in and outside of the Watershed who made these accomplishments possible. From our countless partners, to our participants, contractors and friends we could not do it without all of you!
Please consider making a tax deductible donation to help us further our commitment to protecting the farm and forest lands in the NYC Watershed. Happy New Year, and we look forward to working together for a successful 2016!
