The Watershed Agricultural Council provides its participants with the expertise of the region’s top agriculture and forestry professionals, from county Soil & Water Conservation Districts and Cornell Cooperative Extensions to federal partners at the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency and U.S. Forest Service. Our own highly trained staff works in partnership with regional conservation groups, helping to grow grassroots support for our mission where common goals of working land and clean water overlap with the future needs of the region.
The Watershed Agricultural Council is funded in part by New York City Environmental Protection, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Forest Service and other federal, foundation and private sources. The Council collaborates extensively with other agencies, nonprofits and businesses to achieve its goals and reach the watershed and City communities. Many of those organizations are listed below.
