Executive Director

The Watershed Agricultural Council is seeking an executive manager with organizational management, contract negotiations/management, financial management, communication and fund raising skills to lead nonprofit organization delivering agricultural, easement and forestry programs in New York City water supply watershed. Bachelors Degree with two years organizational management experience required. Salary up to $100,000.

Conservation Planner

The Watershed Agricultural Council, a non profit organization working to protect the NYC Watershed while supporting farm and forest land uses, is seeking a Conservation Planner to work cooperatively in the design and implementation of water quality conservation practices for landowners who are interested in pursuing a WAC Conservation Easement. Qualifications: B.S. degree in natural resources or related field. At least 2 years experience in land conservation. Experience with GIS and Arc Map preferred. Salary mid to upper $40,000’s commensurate with experience.

Database Administrator

The Watershed Agricultural Council (WAC) is seeking a Database Administrator to manage a spatial and relational database. B.A. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Geography, GIS or a related field and experience maintaining an enterprise geodatabase using ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE and SQL Server. Knowledge of rural land management data for agriculture, forestry and water quality is a plus. Salary commensurate with experience. Review of applications to begin March 23, 2009.
